Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced that the Days Inns® New England Alliance has been named as the official hotel of its traveling Late Model Tour and Sportsman Series as well as Thunder Road International Speedbowl, Barre, VT. A special web link has been placed on the front page of the ACT website ( which will take race teams, fans, family and friends to a specially formulated Days Inn site which will assist them in their accommodation needs.

The ACT Late Model Tour opens its season on Sat/Sun, April 29/30 at Thunder Road with the Merchants Bank 150. Dave Pembroke is the defending race winner. ACT’s Sportsman Series kicks off the following weekend on Sat, May 6. Plattsburgh, New York’s Airborne Speedway, a D-shaped half-mile will host the 31st annual Spring Green 100. Hometown driver, Robin Wood was the victor en route to the 2005 ACT Sportsman Series championship. Both events have a Days Inn property within a few miles of the race track.
