Sophomore ACT Tour competitor, Marc Curtis Jr of Worcester, MA was gifted with four Goodyear Eagle racing tires for use at the upcoming Sanair Super Speedway Mega Classique, July 8/9. The 22 year-old driver’s name was selected by blind draw during the driver meeting last Saturday at the Tour’s White Mountain Motorsports Park stop from among the 40-some who were eligible for the annual ACTion Super Series opener’s tire draw.

“That’s great!” the surprised driver commented of his prize which has a value of about $500. Curtis, along with the majority of the ACT Tour competitors who will tackle the 7/8th mile Sanair Super Speedway tri-oval in a few short weeks, have never raced at a track that’s nearly a mile in length.

Late Model drivers who entered all three of the $10,000 to win ACTion Super Series races by a specific deadline are eligible for the three Goodyear Tire draws. Additional draws will be held for the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 (Sept 2-3) and the New England Dodge Dealers Milk Bowl (Sept 30-Oct 1), both at Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl.

The ACTion Super Series kicks off with the July 8-9 race at the Sanair Super Speedway, a 7/8ths mile tri-oval. Over $70,000 has been posted for La Mega Classique which will be contested “Monza-style” with a combined score from three 50-lap segments determining the overall winner.
