Veteran Canadian stock car driver, Jacques Poulin won a set of Goodyear Eagle racing tires for use at the upcoming $10,000 to win Mega Classique at Sanair Super Speedway (St Pie, Qc) Sat, July 8 and Sun, 9. Drivers participating in 100% of the Serie Castrol events were eligible for the award, which has a value of nearly $500. The Mega Classique is the first of three $10,000 to win races in the ACTion Super Series.

Poulin will be joined by other Quebec veterans including Montreal's Claude Leclerc and Donald Theetge, winner of the ACT Tour stop at the Circuit Ste-Croix earlier this season. Also expected to attempt to qualify for one of the 43 available starting positions at the 7/8ths mile tri-oval are Sylvain Lacombe, Karl Allard and Yvon Bedard.

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) also awarded a set of four Goodyear Eagle racing tires for use to Marc Curtis of Worcester, MA. The 22 year-old driver's name was selected by blind draw during the driver meeting last Saturday at the Tour's White Mountain Motorsports Park stop from among the 40-some who were eligible for the annual ACTion Super Series opener's tire draw.

Additional draws will be held for the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 (Sept 2-3) and the New England Dodge Dealers Milk Bowl (Sept 30-Oct 1), both at Barre, Vermont's Thunder Road Int'l Speedbowl.

The ACTion Super Series kicks off with the July 8-9 race at the Sanair Super Speedway, a 7/8ths mile tri-oval. Over $70,000 has been posted for La Mega Classique which will be contested "Monza-style" with a combined score from three 50-lap segments determining the overall winner.
