“Kenyon Racing Products is extremely pleased to enter into an agreement with ACT to provide this award to the Late Model drivers competing on the Quebec Series,” commented Tom Kenyon one of the company’s principles. “We’ve had a long relationship with ACT, initially as a race team and more recently as a car builder and parts supplier. As a company, we wanted to support ACT’s return to Canada as well as reward a competitor at each series event,” he explained.
The Kenyon Racing Hard Charger Award will be presented to the driver who improves his starting position the most number of places at each of the 11 Quebec races as well as an event in Ontario which comprises the ACT Quebec Late Model series. In 2007 the Series will visit four venues of varying sizes in Quebec (Autodrome Montmagny, 3/8ths mile; Autodrome Ste-Eustache, 4/10ths mile; Circuit Ste-Croix, 5/8ths mile, and Autodrome Chaudiere, 1/3 mile) as well as the 3/8ths mile Capital City Speedway, outside of Ottawa near the Kenyon Racing home base.
"In 1991 we started our business to fill the hardcore race parts void in the Ottawa (Ontario) area which included Capital City Speedway,” brother Mike Kenyon explained. “We also serviced the ACT Tour’s Canadian races with our mobile parts trailer. This year we plan on attending two of the ACTion Super Series events in Quebec - at Circuit Ste-Croix (June 23-24 near Quebec City) as well at Sanair Super Speedway (St-Pie, July 7-8),” the younger Kenyon said.
In addition to providing parts for both dirt and asphalt circle track racing, Kenyon Racing Products, which also includes Tom and Mike's father Dave, specializes in the drag racing and street performance markets. The company is also a stocking dealer and repair shop for Port City Race Cars, one of the top Late Model chassis companies. Many of ACT's "Official Product" companies including Five Star RaceCar Bodies, Holley Carburetors, Koni, and Quarter Master, to name a few, can be purchased through Kenyon Racing Products.
