Brian Hoar Tops $200 Grand in ACT Earnings With Lee Win
Eight-time American Canadian Tour Late Model Stock Car Champion Brian Hoar of Williston, VT topped the $200,000 mark in career earnings with his win in the NH Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH on Sunday, April 15.
Hoar secured his 34th career ACT Late Model win in his Goss Dodge and pocketed over $3,500 for car owner Rick Paya. His win brings his career earnings to $200,074 for his 132 point counting event starts to date, including point fund awards. He sits second on the all-time ACT Late Model career earnings list, trailing seven-time ACT Champion Jean-Paul Cyr with $219,957.
Hoar began competing on the ACT Late Model Tour during its inaugural season in 1992. He secured at least one win each season through 2000, while earning five titles. After taking several years off, he returned to ACT in 2009 to earn his 6th title and repeated in 2010 and 2011. He leads most major ACT categories including career top fives and laps led.
The American Canadian Tour will return to Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT for the 14th annual Merchants Bank 150 on Sunday, April 29. It will be the second ACT event of 2012 and the season opener for Thunder Road. Post time on Sunday is 1:00pm with the annual car show on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00am to 12noon in the Thunder Road pit area.
