Two-time Serie ACT Castrol Champion Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, Quebec lead all American Canadian Tour competitors at the Test and Tune session at Sanair Super Speedway in St-Pie, Quebec on Wednesday, July 25. Over a dozen teams were on hand for the practice session in preparation for the 100 lap event on Saturday, August 11.
Seven-time ACT Champion Jean-Paul Cyr was second quickest on the day. He was followed by ACT rookie Jimmy Hebert, current ACT point leader Wayne Helliwell, Jr., and veteran Randy Potter. Teams took advantage of the five hour test session to re-familiarize themselves with the speedway, which hasn't seen ACT competition since July of 2006.
Both the ACT (US) and the Serie ACT Castrol will be in action this Saturday, July 28. The US teams will head to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine for their sixth event of the 2012 season. The Serie ACT Castrol is returning to Autodrome St-Eustache outside of Montreal for their second trip of the season and their seventh event overall.
