When the doubleheader at Oxford was first discussed as a replacement for our rained out event in Quebec, we wanted to race for 100 laps on Friday to save our teams laps over a 24-hour period with 125 laps already schedule for Saturday. The additional 9 laps to this brand-new event on Friday August 22nd were added to honor the legendary Quebec racer Yvon Bedard and his iconic No. 9 (pictured here racing at Oxford in the ACT event in 1993).
