Derek Gluchacki Earns the Kulwicki Driver Development Program Cup on the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour
/Barre, VT — Officials with the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour are beyond proud to congratulate Dartmouth, Massachusetts racer Derek Gluchacki on his hard-fought Kulwicki Cup championship in his second year with the Kulwicki Driver Development Program (KDDP).
The nationally recognized program honors the late Alan Kulwikci by sponsoring a select group of just five young up-and-coming racers, helping them to realize their capabilities in short track racing. The KDDP program matches the five finalists with world-class experts in marketing, social media, physical trainers and even members of Kulwicki’s 1992 NASCAR Cup Series championship team to help them grow into well-rounded racers. In the end, the coveted Kulwicki Cup is bestowed on one of these finalists who accumulated the most points on the track, as well as votes from the seven KDDP members based on the driver’s publicity and marketing, charity work, knowledge and work ethic during the season.
In 2025, the Cup is coming home to Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Derek Gluchacki put together a stellar season on the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour, winning his first cornerstone event in the 50th Spring Green, the 2025 Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown championship and four more podium finishes on the international circuit. Gluchacki also won a special 100-lap Late Model race at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl while starting his own set up shop and working with charities like New Hampshire Make-A-Wish, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and various food drives and school programs!
“It feels unreal saying I’m the 2025 Kulwicki Driver Development Program Champion after working at it over the last three years,” said Gluchacki on Wednesday morning. “It’s truly an honor. We’re looking forward to returning to the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour in 2026 and make another charge at the championship!”
“We’re all very proud of Derek for his Kulwicki Cup championship this year,” said Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour managing partner Cris Michaud. “To start the year off with both Derek and Taylor (Hoar) earning a spot in the Kulwicki Program was already a celebration for our organization but to have Derek earn the Cup just puts icing on the cake. He’s certainly earned it and we’re excited to see what this accomplishment can do for him in the future.”
