Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour Announces New, $5,000 Quebec Challenge Series

Barre, VT — After the drivers meeting announcement at Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, June 21, Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour officials today released the point fund and procedures for the newly-minted Quebec Challenge Series. The Quebec Challenge Series is comprised of the three Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour events held in the Canadian Province of Quebec, starting with the Claude Leclerc 150 at Chaudiere and including the Yvon Bedard 149 at Circuit Riverside Speedway on July 5 and the CAN-AM 200 at Autodrome Montmagny on July 19.

Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour managing partner Cris Michaud has ear-marked a $5,000 point fund with $2,000 going to the champion, $1,200 to second, $800 to third, $600 to fourth and $400 to fifth following the CAN-AM 200 at Montmagny on July 19. Drivers earn points in both the heat race and the feature event as laid out in the official ACT points system.

“Watching the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour break another car count record at Chaudiere last Saturday really got me thinking,” said Michaud. “And then the great crowd that filed in, it’s great to see that ACT is alive and well in Quebec. We want to reward our supporting teams and certainly give our Canadian racefans something extra to watch for these next two races.”

Following his second consecutive win in the Claude Leclerc 150, Alexendre Tardif currently leads the Quebec Challenge Series but this Saturday is sure to shake up the standings. For the first time since 2015, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour will hold a point-counting event at Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix. Between the recent repave and the first Late Model event at Ste-Croix since 2019, no-one is quite sure what to expect if the new kids can quickly adapt or if Quebec’s longstanding veterans can return to glory.

The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour returns to racing action at the newly refurbished Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, Quebec for the Yvon Bedard 149 on Saturday, July 5. The $7,500-to-win, $700-to-start showdown will once again pit New England’s best against Quebec’s all-star cast on the new pavement of the beloved 5/8-mile oval on the coast of the St. Lawrence River for a can’t-miss title fight!

The Quebec Challenge Series will come to a close on Saturday, July 19 at Autodrome Montmagny with the $10,000-to-win, $700-to-start CAN-AM 200 to see who will become the inaugural champion and the bragging rights that go with it!
