Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour Back in Action at Seekonk Speedway Spring Green

Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown to Kick-Off Saturday

Barre, VT — After Mother Nature has made for a shaky start to the season, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is ready to roll into the Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachusetts for the 51st running of the Spring Green. The iconic cornerstone event returns along with the delayed start for the Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown at the Action Track of the East!

Seekonk Speedway has long played host to the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour with the Bay State oval hosting twenty-two ACT events since 1983. In all those great events, only once has a Massachusetts driver stood tall to win at the only Massachusetts oval with the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour and it was in this very event last year! Derek Gluchacki, who grew up racing Legends at the facility, is the only Bay Stater to take the ACT gold at Seekonk but Jake Johnson is looking to change that.

Jake ‘The Jet’ was on a hot streak to start the season and, although the rain has paused things for a month, Johnson and Seekonk go hand-in-hand. He took fourth in the ACT Haunted Hundred last October while also cutting his teeth in the weekly Late Model division to two track wins back in 2017. Both him and the Hartwell Motorsports team are hungry for their first win on the road this summer, keep an eye on the #91CT.

Perhaps most excited may be leading Rookie candidate Jacob ‘Rowdy’ Burns who is the defending Pro Stock track champion at Seekonk. Burns first came into the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour fold with events at the Concrete Palace, putting on a race to remember with eventual champion DJ Shaw back in October 2022. The #30RI is certainly recognizable to the hometown crowd and may be the fan-favorite on Saturday.

Point leader Gabe Brown is also looking for his first Seekonk Speedway win after claiming the ACT Championship at the track just two years ago. Brown, Jesse Switser, Kaiden Fisher and Jimmy Renfrew Jr. are among the touring stars that have progressively grown their Seekonk program while Derry, New Hampshire’s Erick Sands is looking to add the Spring Green trophy in between his back-to-back Haunted Hundred prizes!

The Canadian Province of Quebec sends down Jonathan Bouvrette, Jeff Côté and Remi Perreault with Perrault looking to double down on one of his most successful tracks on the Tour. Geoff Rollins, Cole Littlewood and fellow Rookie hopeful Craig Smith are also on the list while Seekonk Speedway is set to be well represented by former Late Model champions Mark Jenison and Dylan Estrella, opening day winner Ryan Flood and more!

The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is back in action this Saturday, June 6 for the 51st running of the Spring Green at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachusetts. The touring Milton CAT stars will face an onslaught of Seekonk Speedway local Late Models in a battle for the $5,000 win and a chance to win one of ACT’s cornerstone events at the Concrete Palace! Post Time is 6:00pm Saturday, if you can’t make it to the Action Track of the East, catch all the action on the North East Short Track Network at www.nestn.tv.
