Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour Powers Back for International Challenge at Montmagny

Barre, VT — The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is back in action North of the Border this Saturday, July 19 at Autodrome Montmagny just outside of Quebec City for the $10,000-to-win CAN-AM 200! The classic international battle between the US invaders and the Canadian home guard will once again settle the score in front of a packed house this Saturday under the lights!

Raphael Lessard enters Autodrome Montmagny with a big chip on his shoulder as both the current Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour point leader AND the man to beat on the tricky 3/8-mile oval. Since the resurrection of the CAN-AM 200 in 2022, Lessard has won two of three editions with only Massachusetts-driver Derek Gluchacki being the exception. That means it’s up to the US invaders to even out the score even as they are far outweighed against the Quebecois supporters.

Fellow full-time touring chasers Alexendre Tardif, Jonathan Bouvrette and Remi Perreault will also lead the charge while Serie ACT Quebec front runners Jeff Cote, Dany Gariepy and Dany Trepanier lead the local cause! The second of two events that count towards both the US and the Quebec tour, the CAN-AM 200 is set to be a hotly contested showdown as fellow Quebec teams are set to include William Larue, Maxime Gauvreau, young-guns Felix Gratton and Vincent Rivard along with veterans like Claude Leclerc, Patrick Laperle, Karl Allard and Jean-Francois Dery.

Center Conway, New Hampshire duo Gabe Brown and D.J. Shaw are looking for a little northern magic this Saturday as well. Both have been in Montmagny victory lane and would like to improve their position to the tune of $10,000. Gluchacki will be back in search of win #2 in the international showdown while Jesse Switser, Kaiden Fisher, Kasey Beattie, Erick Sands and Cole Littlewood join the American representatives in search of Canadian gold this Saturday.

As if the $56,000 purse wasn’t enough, the CAN-AM 200 also stands tall as Round #2 in the new Quebec Challenge Series! The $5,000 Quebec Challenge Series is currently in the hands of Alexendre ‘Fireball’ Tardif with William Larue and Jeff Cote chomping at the bit and D.J. Shaw sitting in fourth as the highest American challenger. Shaw, the multi-time Southern New England Triple Crown champ is certainly a threat for the Quebec Series but this may be his greatest three-race Challenge yet!

The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour returns to action on Saturday, July 19 at Autodrome Montmagny for the $10,000-to-win CAN-AM 200. The final contest North of the Border between New England’s best against Quebec’s all-star cast will once again determine who is the best in Northeast racing and, with the Quebec Challenge Series on the line, even more pressure is on for the cross-border teams!
