All Paths Lead Home to Thunder Road for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour

28th annual Community Bank 150 to Kick off the 2026 Season at the Nation’s Site of Excitement

Barre, VT — Two busy weeks have continued headlong into three-in-a-row for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour with all trailers headed north to Barre, Vermont for the 28th annual Community Bank, n.a. 150 on Sunday, May 3. Thunder Road International Speedbowl has long been the home of the iconic international touring series with plenty of storylines headed into Sunday’s 150-lap event.

Thunder Road has long been the mainstay of the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour with Sunday’s Community Bank 150 set to be the 138th point-counting event for the international tour. North Haverhill, New Hampshire’s Stub Fadden won the first point-counting event back in 1979 in the Vermont Milk Bowl and since then nearly 60 different ACT Winners have stood tall in victory lane!

The Community Bank 150 has long set itself up as a race for the local Maplefields/Irving Late Models to strut their stuff against the touring rivals. Upsets for the travel teams have been few and far between in the past 27 events with former King of the Road track champions Nick Sweet, Jason Corliss, Christopher Pelkey and Kaiden Fisher taking the last four iterations.

Coming into Thunder Road is a collection of Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour front runners that have seen their fair share of good days and bad at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. 2024 ACT Champion Gabe Brown currently leads the standings after his strong New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 win last Saturday at the Lee USA Speedway but there is still a long road ahead.

Current surprise upset Jake Johnson in the Hartwell Motorsports #91CT machine has flown onto the scene with back-to-back top-five finishes, currently second in the standings. The defending Thompson Speedway Late Model champion is also a Tour-type Modified standout and has a top-ten run at Thunder Road with the Monaco Modifieds to his credit. While the #91CT Cady’s Tavern team has visited Thunder Road many times in the past, this will be a first for ‘The Jet’ on the Barre highbanks.

Other top-five runners include Jonathan Bouvrette, Jesse Switser and Jimmy Renfrew Jr. While Renfrew expressed at Lee his desire to simply finish this weekend’s 150, it could mean a strong run up the standings for the other two as well as Kaiden Fisher, Erick Sands and Cole Littlewood with their prior experience helping to make a run on this year’s newcomers.

Looking to show off for the hometown crowd, defending Maplefields/Irving Late Model King of the Road Jason Corliss will be looking for his fifth Community Bank 150 win. A flood of weekly warriors also includes fellow Kings of the Road Chris Pelkey, Scott Dragon and Bobby Therrien, defending Vermont Milk Bowl champion Marcel Gravel, former Flying Tiger track champion Brandon Gray, former Community Bank 150 winner Brooks Clark and more!

The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is headed home to Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl this Sunday, May 3 for the 28th annual Community Bank 150 alongside the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metal Road Warriors.
