Barre, VT — After a pair of weekends off, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour turns north once more to Autodrome Montmangy for the CAN-AM 200, the second of a three-in-a-row stretch of $10,000 to win showdowns for the international tour. The competition on both sides of the United States / Canada border has been exceptional with both regions set to send their best talent to Montmagny, Quebec this Saturday!

Ever since the border reopened following the COVID-19 closures, the CAN-AM 200 has returned as an annual excursion to the Quebec City region with big money and international bragging rights on the line. Since 2022 only Derek Gluchacki has been able to rip the CAN-AM 200 trophy away from Quebec all-stars Raphaël Lessard and Jeff Côté. The two Beauce region drivers also have their own unfinished business with a photo finish determining last year’s $10,000 winner with Côté getting the bumper-cover edge over eventual Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour champion Lessard at the line.

The top American to watch will be current point leader Gabe Brown hauling up from Center Conway, New Hampshire. The 2024 champion has racked up two consecutive third-place finishes in this very event and after a rough outing at Autodrome Chaudiere two weeks ago, Brown looks to rebuild his point lead.

Speaking of former champions looking to go the distance, the veteran Patrick Laperle has proved he still has plenty in the tank after a dominant performance at Chaudiere. ‘Le Grand’ Laperle has already won at Montmagny this year, taking the season-opening Tom Curley 150 back in May and would love nothing more than to double up on $10,000 wins with the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour!

Montmagny could also prove to be a breakout moment for either Vermont’s Jesse Switser or New Hampshire’s Erick Sands. Switser is heading back after two-straight top-ten finishes while Sands has shown great speed at the 3/8-mile facility in recent years. Along with Laperle, L.P. Lauzier, Dany Trepanier, Patrick Cliché, Dany Gariepy and Serie ACT Quebec rookie Hugo Paquet have shown their strength at the tricky Montmagny oval.

Alongside a full contingent of Quebec’s finest ready to defend their home turf, the United States sends up top runners Kaiden Fisher and Jake Johnson, longtime veteran and first-time tourer Geoff Rollins, Cole Littlewood, Aaron Fellows and Thunder Road regular Justin Prescott. Jonathan Bouvrette and Remi Perreault are also looking for the win as they stand in both the US and Canadian camps his weekend.

The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour turns north once this Saturday, July 18 for the CAN-AM 200 at Autodrome Montmagny. The stars and cars of the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour will once again go head-to-head with the Serie ACT Quebec XPN stars at the stellar 3/8-mile facility north of Quebec City for 200 laps with $10,000 on the line! If you can’t make it to Autodrome Montmagny this Saturday, the North East Short Track Network will stream the thrilling showdown. Visit www.nestn.tv for more information.
