Rain Pushes Montmagny CAN-AM 200 to Saturday, August 22 for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour

Barre, VT — With rain forecasted to begin over Autodrome Montmagny at 5pm Saturday and continue well into Sunday afternoon, Officials with Autodrome Montmagny and the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour have been forced to move the CAN-AM 200 to Saturday, August 22.

All week long the rainy forecast trended more toward the afternoon, rather than later in the evening on July 18. Coupled with a forecasted washout for Sunday's stand-in rain date, the weekend trip was no longer viable. After looking through the schedules of both the US and Canadian ACT traveling tours, as well as the track’s, Saturday, August 22 quickly became the best outcome.

“We’re grateful to Autodrome Montmagny for giving us as much a heads-up as they did to make this move before our US teams made the trip north,” said ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “It’s frustrating for all sides to have to keep shifting the schedule but we will continue to push on and we look forward to the big Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 at White Mountain on August 1.”

With the move comes a busy month of August for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour beginning with the 9th annual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on Saturday, August 1 at White Mountain Motorsports Park. The $10,000 to win showdown kicks off a busy August followed by the return to Riverside Speedway & Adventure Park on Sunday, August 16, the rescheduled CAN-AM 200 at Montmagny on Saturday, August 22 and the annual ‘Night Before the Oxford 250’ showdown on Saturday, August 29.
